It has been designed with adjustable closing and latching speed and is ideal in environments where superior aesthetics are needed or reduced vandalism. Thanks to its slimline profile it also is quick to install. A guide rail dampener is available to purchase with the SC-CE3F. It has also been tested to UKCA, EN 1154, and fire rated for timber doors FD30 and FD60 as well as metal doors up to FD240. However, it must be fitted with the appropriate intumescent for fire door applications.
